It turned out great. Excellent work on the colouring and the background texture is a nice touch.

Wow, for a second I thought it was actually painted on something. Great job with the texture.

Yeah, it's a texture made from a photograph of a wall or ceramic tile or something.

I'm glad you approve.

That's not an actual wall, is it? It looks so real!

It's a texture made from a photograph of a wall, ceramic tile or something like that.

The texture itself is a vector artwork now, I think it gives a better finish than using an actual photograph to give a texture.

The lighting effects probably add to feeling of 'realism' here too.

Very nice! I know the line-art is not of your making, but the coloring and gradient effects most certainly are, and they look simply smashing. Well done.

I could have put some more glyphs/ornaments around Jaroda, but I didn't want to risk overpowering the focus image.

That turned out pretty awesome, I hope you didn't had too much work to do from cleaning up my messy lines. I like how you gave it a wall painting texture, and the lightning makes it even better.

Thanks for turning that into something nice like this!

Your original linework wasn't bad at all; I liked the original picture very much!

In fact I used this picture as a way to get used to using pressure to draw linework - I think it helped me get a better understanding of drawing this way, though I still need practice!

Don't be so down on your original artwork; It was a lovely drawing.

Also, you made a great coloring process! It's really seems to be a "cave-wall" graffiti!

Haha! Tatzel is a girl actually!

Yeah, I was trying to go for a rocky or stony surface texture here, though the colour is probably closer to that of a terracotta pot.

There are a lot of different Celtic ornament styles and they generally feature a lot of loops, knots and such.

Thanks!

It was kinda rough heading up to Christmas actually - I had to pull a lot of extra shifts at work.

I need to get back into the swing of doing regular artwork now, and I'm also trying to get some new drawing techniques down.

Yeah I know what you mean, the Christmas season was a nightmare for artwork, working till 8 about every night. Hoping to see those "new drawing techniques" soon :D
